We are modernizing and supporting the products that drive in-person interactions related to applying for citizenship and other immigration benefits. This makes the welcome to citizenship a more friendly, accurate, and secure process. The mission area is high-visibility and a critical touchpoint for those applying for citizenship.
Job Description
As a remote Senior Java Developer, you'll work within a well-rounded team committed to leading-edge digital services delivery. You also have the added benefit of being employee #1 at a scrappy start-up consulting firm to help mold the culture from the ground up!
Required skills:
- 10+ years of professional software development experience
- Solid experience with Java development
- Experienced developing Java Microservices with SpringBoot & Docker
- Solid SQL experience with databases (Oracle, Mysql)
- Experience with working on full project life cycle starting with requirements gathering all the way to unit testing and system documentation
- Ability to obtain clearance
- U.S Citizen Required
Desired Skills:
- Nice to Have skills with Amazon Web Services, in particular, EC2, S3, and RDS
- AWS Certifications
- Prior history modernizing old java applications (java 6)
- Experience with OpenShift
